What is Athletic Connections?

It is an athletic focused discussion forum and classified pages. Athletes and sports fans can use "Athletic Connections" to:

• Search for athletic related jobs/internships
• Buy and sell sporting equipment
• Locate a pick up or organized sporting events for youth, young adult and adult athletes
• Search for or advertise:
  • Personal training services
  • Athletic camps
  • Gyms
  • Or any other sports related service
  • And more!

How do I get on Athletic Connections?

1. You must be logged in to participate in athletic connections. If you are not a current athlete and would like to join in the fun, set up a "sports fan" profile, which requires minimal information (see above for details).

2. Sign in using your username and password.

3. On the home page or on your athlete profile page, click on "connect now."

   

4. You will see various categories displayed (e.g. athletic related jobs, buy/sell sports equipment, sports camps, etc.)

   

5. Click on any of the categories that interest you and then you will see various discussion topics.

   

6. To add a response to the comment click "reply."

7. To add a new topic under the discussion forum click "add topic."

8. To add a new poll (e.g. to find out how frequently runners buy new sneakers) click on "add poll."

How do I get back to my profile once I'm on athletic connections?

1. At any point you no longer want to be on athletic connections you can do any of the following:

   • Click on the "I" logo or Ilivesports.com in the toolbar at the top of the page.
   • Click on the "Return to Profile" tab at the top of the page.
   • Click on your username listed at the top left of the page.

What is forum home?

Forum home will bring you back to the list of discussion topics (e.g. buy/sell sporting goods, athletic related jobs, athletic related internships, sports camps, etc.)

How is forum search different than regular searching?

Forum "Search" allows you to search within athletic connections. For example, if you were trying to find information about Post-to-Post Soccer Camp, you could enter it in the athletic connections search function. If someone has posted any information about Post-to-Post Soccer Camp, it will come up in the search results. Searching athletic profiles will only search for athletes or teams by personal information or sports information (it won't pull information from athletic connections).

How is forum calendar different than the calendar on the home page?

The forum calendar is a generic calendar for all users of athletic connections. It also lists all registered users birthdays. For your own personal calendar, create an athlete or team profile page and then you will be able to enter game, event or tournament information as well as notes to yourself.
